Laminate Floor Installer
 

We have friends looking to rip out all carpets and install laminate floors of their choice.
Does anyone know of a good and reasonable laminate installer?

East Coast is great. Not the absolute lowest bid but they do a great great job. You can search for them on this site for more information. We researched several and some were higher or lower. Floor Masters which was the absolutely cheapest was a total disappointment. There are several good companies. Just look for the recommendations through the search engine on TOTV.

Keep in mind that most laminate floor retailers subcontract to independent installers, and that your finished floor will depend entirely on the skills of the crew that shows up for the job. Many of our neighbors had a great installation experience with Paradise Floors (located on Wedgewood Lane who may have since gone out of business.) The crew (Steve Groover) who installed our laminate floor was the absolute worst--in our opinion. (Hope Steve doesn't show up to do your laminate floor.)

If your neighbors had a good laminate installation experience, and you plan to buy from the same retailer, see if they can also tell you who did the installation and ask the flooring retailer for that specific crew. Good luck.

East Cost, to the best of my knowledge, only uses a guy named Darrell who is revered on TOTV.

Laminate floors
 

Another vote for East Coast. They did practically our entire house. For clarification, they have 2 crews, both of which are made up of East Coast employees, no subs. They also have great follow-up and stand by the quality of their work completely. They are not satisfied until you are.
