Building my home in Fernandina - week 6
 

Week 6 Building a Lilac in Fernandina. Looks like it's almost done. :)

We come for design meeting Oct 11th. We will also be building a Lilac. What upgrades did you get? We will be on Birdsong Place.

Great pictures. The rest of us Gilly Ferns are EXCITED for you guys. Closing should be soon. Keep them pictures coming.

Love looking at your pictures and all the progress! My build starts today, so this is awesome to kind of see thigs in "advance"! Yep! Almost done!!!

Upgrades
 

We did a lot of upgrades. The stretches were the big thing. We did 4 foot in the garage, 2 foot width kitchen--breakfast nook -- lanai, 2 foot width through bedrooms, 4 foot on end of lanai. And we upgraded the siding.

My favorite changes were the stretch in the kitchen because then I could pull the bar/island into the kitchen. In the standard Lilac, the bar ends on the carpet. In mine, I have some tile there. Gives more space to walk through. I also added pocket doors wherever I could. And the walk in Roman Shower. LOVE THEM. :) And the driveway, I made it the same width all the way to the street. oh, and..... I could go on. :)

My least favorite upgrade was the elevation. With the elevation I chose, you get the bigger window. But I don't like it. The shudders are too short now. It's a little thing though.

Closing October 12th
 

We'll be closing October 12th, but we don't have a move date yet. Sometime before November 1st. Let's definitely hook up. :)

Very nice job on a pretty home! Congrats to you and your spouse. We close on Thursday. Can't wait to meet you guys!

All of us are going to have so much FUN in The Villages. It's awesome!!

Thanks for sharing. Just received our week 3 photos of our IRIS being built in Sanibel so it is nice to see what we might expect to see over the next few weeks.
