Trees in winter time....
Hey it's Dellie with question: do the big oaks lose their leaves in the wintertime?
|
either winter or spring live oaks drop their leaves and make a horrible mess, but for some strange reason they never look leafless (is there such a word). Not sure how this works, but had a huge one in several yards and it was very interesting.

The Live Oaks and Laurel Oaks lose their leaves in the spring.
|
they keep their leaves.

Yes. Although typically evergreen, the leaves persisting until the time growth resumes in spring, a live oak's defoliation may occur sooner in marginal climates or in dry or cold winters. |
