Disney Season Pass
 

Can anyone advise if they have a Florida resident annual Disney Pass? Do they find they use it enough to make it worth while? Also, are there any groups in The Villages that get together to plan a day at Disney? Thanks

There is a club called "Mickey's Fan-atics". They charter buses at times to go to Disney. Next meeting is 6 p.m. September 27 at Colony Cottage Regional Rec Center. Call Debbie Winters at 352-259-4988 or email mickeysfanatics@gmail.com.

You can also get discounts buying through AAA if you or someone you know is a member.

We have weekday seasonal passes which run a little over $ 200 per person per year ( renewals are about 10% less). Only takes about an hour to drive there.

We figure that if you go 3 times you have paid for it. The 3 times would be the wine and food fair at EPCOT ( going on now), the Christmas show and the flower show. And have just gone to go to one of the parks. My old friends from years gone by just laugh when I tell them we are annual members. Something I thought I would never say. I think it is great fun and worth it. Especially if you get a cheap room somewhere close and stay the night in Orlando, which is what we do. Have fun.................

We have a Disney annual pass and love it. Have gone about 22 times in the last year. The annual pass includes parking, which is a $14.00 savings each time we go. Some of the passes don't include the parking.

Thanks for the information. We have not moved to TV yet but are planning on doing so in the near future. We are in the research and downsizing phase. I love Disney and have been there 10 times in the past eleven years with various family members. The Annual Pass sounds like something we will DEFINETLY use. Good to know that the parking is included as well. We were also checking out the SeaWorld Annual Pass as well and that looks like it pays for itself on the first visit. Another deal that we just can't turn down. Does anyone know if Universal Studio's have any discounts for Florida residents?

We have annual passes, and will continue to do so when we move permanently to the Villages. The Wine & Food Festival, Flower show, Christmas and Halloween are our favorite times to go. As an earlier poster indicated, parking is free (at least as of now) with the annual pass. Another advantage is that you don't "feel" the need to spend all day in the park to get your money's worth. If you head down to Orlando to shop/dine, etc. you can swing by the park and catch your favorite show or attraction.

Do you golf? We have the premium annual passes. They are worth every penny. Sometimes we just drive down for the dinner and a concert at Epcot or a round of golf and dinner.

I'm glad you asked this question as I'm a wannabe and will hopefully buy something in October when I come down. The question for me is a regular annual pass or a premium. I'm not a golfer (though if you are the post above is a gimme to go annual)...visiting the water parks runs $55 per visit. They are free with a premium pass and a regular pass only provides a small discount. This is my question mark. Disney is about 1 hour away from TV...just driving down on a weekday and hanging out...not trying to squeeze in everything in a day...just a casual visit...sounds incredibly great. BTW - AAA offers discount Universal tix. I hope you have a great visit!

food and wine festival is worth the season pass

We moved to TV from Hunters Creek very near WDW. We ended up not going so often, but we can drive down there in a little over an hour to get our Disney Fix! I just spoke to our Disney Vacation Club rep today. If you are a DVC member, Annual passes are going on special through DVC for $299 starting October 1. We thought about getting Florida passes or seasonal passes, but they don't include parking......

We have a weekday annual pass and use it often. In fact, we just came back from visiting Animal Kingdom today after dropping our daughter off at the airport. This was probably our 10th visit this year!! It is so easy to drive down to Disney (only an hour door to door using the turnpike and 429). We also like that we can take our time and see things we never had the time for when we had to squeeze everything into a 5-day or week vacation. There is so much to see including all the resorts...they are a site to behold. The attention to detail never ceases to amaze me when we tour the hotels.

We find that the weekday pass works fine for us as we are not interested in going during the blackout times (Xmas week, Easter week and mid summer...way too crowded) and being retired leaves the whole week free. While the weekday pass does not include parking, many times we visit one of the resorts to have lunch or just look around, park there and then take a Disney bus to the park. You can also park at Downtown Disney and take the buses to the park.

We have also purchased a Tables in Wonderland card that provides a 20% discount on food and drink (both non and alcoholic) in many of the restaurants throughout Disney. We have easily recouped the $75 initial cost for the card and we have only had it for 6 months!
