oyster bar

Any one know of a great (good) oyster bar near or about TV?

There is one in Wildwood on 301 called O'Shucks that has had good reviews. I have never been there, but have been meaning to try it and see. It is just South of 44 on the left side going South on 301. If you do try it, please let me know if it's worth trying.

Check the Daily Sun, there's a place in Leesburg that serves 30 oysters for $10.00 on Sat. starting @ 4:00 & they also do it one other nite. Oysters were GREAT!

I was looking for fried oysters and the place in Leesburg said they didn't do fried.

Sam St Johns across from Walmart on 441 has a great fried oyster dinner.

Ocean Grill Leesburg

They do have fried oysters, I've eaten them there in July. They were good, but not Maryland style great. I'd go back for more, though.

Home Party

WE love having Oysters on a half shell with a good Gin martini straight up. The best place we found to have this believe it or not is "HOME". How we do this is we get a "Party Pack" of Oysters at Sweetbay which contains 50-60 Large oysters from Louisinia (sp).....(about $23 but they do go on sale for $19) When the time come to clean and open, we have a 3 person line up...one washes or scrubs the oyster, one person opens, and one person gets the ice plates ready and makkes teh arrangement to display the feast. I have all the equipment necesssary to include a stiif brush for cleaning, wire mess glove, and oyster opener. It took less than 30 minutes to clean open and clean up the party pack. There were 6 of us and oh the 4th person had the martinis ready and "LET THE PARTY BEGIN" !!

we did the same thing at our old place in palm beach. got the pak of oysters from the local fish place and feasted. the only difference(s) it was just the two of us and the martinis were grey goose vodka. glad to hear that the local supermarket has the pak. thanks for the info

It's been YEARS ago, but we remember going to a party where they put fresh oysters on the BBQ and steamed them open in their own juices. We think that's how they did it. Has anyone ever heard of or done that??? If so, is it that simple??
