Several of us Chicago area TOTV members will be gathering on Saturday, October 27 at 6:00 p.m. at the Ram Restaurant and Brewery at 9520 Higgins Road in Rosemont for dinner and conversation.

So if you are living in the Chicago area and are a TV snowflake, snowbird, soon-to-be frog, gonnabee or wannabee , please join us on 10/27.

I wish I could be there with you but I don't fly back to Chi from TV until 10-31.

BTW - I posted a video on the TOTV music.....that band is playng a free election party at Space in Evanston on 11/5....some of you may be interested.

Gee-if I recall you are closing on the 30th? Best of luck to you! I leave for TV end of NOV and close on Dec 5th. Hope you complete your place just as you wish!

Hotrodgirl...you're right, I close on the 30th and fly back to Chi on the 31st. I expect to move down either before or after 1/1. Technically, I have a lease that runs through 4/30..but, I am right across the street from Loyola so I'm trying to get The Morgan to rent my place for second semester....my guess is that I'll have to eat the rent.

Once settled - consider a lunch, if only to pool newbie hints and possibly expand the circle of new connections.

Geewiz, Would that be Loyola's campus in Rogers Park? I graduated from Loyola in 1983. I lived in an apartment at Albion and Sheridan Road, right next to a bar called Cheers (at least that is what it was called in the early 1980's). How handy living next to a bar... :beer3:

Saw this late, but good to know there are other Chicagoland Villagers. Wife and I live on St Charles, IL and are thinking about TV lifestyle. We need to rent and stay there for a month or so to check it out. Thanks!

So sorry you missed it! We had a great time catching up and hearing about all the exciting things going on with everyone. This was our second time getting together. We will post when we plan another dinner. If you have not been to TV yet you will love it, no place on earth like TV!
