Last night a coyote ran across Buena Vista Blvd. We were headed north from Lake Miona. It was about 9 p.m. We have never seen one here before and wonder if this is an isolated incidence.

there is a huge pack in the preserve just north of that rec center

Anywhere from 'several' to 'a lot'. :laugh: Then there are 6 packs and 12 packs and 24 to a pack of cigs.

From wikipedia:
"Though coyotes have been observed to travel in large groups, they primarily hunt in pairs. Typical packs consist of six closely related adults, yearlings and young."

People have warned me about cougars in TV...now, coyotes! Oye! Rada, the kitty, and I will have to be on the look out when we arrive on Monday.

From the howling we heard one afternoon while putting #9 @ pelican, We guessed at least 30-40
