Gun Safety Class/Shooting Range
 

Does anyone know where to find a gun safety class near TV? How about a shooting range?

There is an indoor range on 44 the toward Leesburg about 4 - 5 miles from Brownwood. They do have classes. They rent guns for the range $10 and range use $9. Also sell guns and ammo. http://www.gunrange.net/Home.html

I am not yet a "Villager" but check out Figmo and the Village Shooter - IMO from what I read - very knowledgeable.

Usually don't comment on these matters because I am not up there yet.

Drop me a PM and I will put you in touch with our Lady NRA Pistol Instructor. She will start you from the very beginning to Basic Pistol, then we have instructors that can take over from there to very advanced. You go as far as you think you need to. Also we offer classes for concealed carry, free to Villagers, and lots of safety classes. A new gun club is starting in November, called the Cool Gun Club, where we will be discussing lots of items related to shooting, safety, and the current carry laws here in Florida and what states honor a Flordia carry permit.

There's one on 44 in Wildwood or Leesburg. Pretty reasonable too.

I would like to visit a shooting range too. Good info I will check this out.

Be aware that non of these ranges will allow you to shoot reloads. I've got probably a thousand rounds of different calibers I've reloaded and am not able to shoot them. A range I e-mailed in Ocala said it was due to insurance regulations.

For anyone living in the North part of TV, you might try RD Tactical Solutions Gun Range in Ocala. It if a bit far, but the people are nice and the place is newer and clean. R D Tactical has a web site, but I don't do links.

And, The Cool Gun Club should be informative when it starts, and a good place to learn.

There's also a wonderful instructor at TheRightTraining.com where they use an outdoor range in the Lake Weir/Ocala area. Price is approximately $80/class. They prepare you totally for CWP. The Cool Gun Club meets the first Friday of the month at Mulberry and The Straight Shooters is meeting next week 11/21 @ 6:30 at Sea Breeze.
