Saying hello

I hope I am posting in the right location, this is my first time.
My husband and I are returning this winter for the second time, an extended stay. I have already fallen in love with TV but my husband still needs some convincing. Can anyone suggest some sales agents? Also, is there anywhere to rent bicycles? Thanks.

Your first post. :welcome to TOTV.

It's best to have a VLS agent, (Villages) and an MLS agent. If you are planning to buy new, a VLS is all that is needed. They are independent from one another as the VLS agent will only show villages property and the MLS agent can only show properties listed with them.

My VLS agent is Lori Simon. My MLS agent is Linda Sears, 352.205.0713.

You might want to rent for a month and some rentals may include bycicles.

An extended visit might convince him this is a good move for both of you.

Good luck and keep on posting.

:laugh:From The Villages, we worked with Darlene D'Andrea for our first home which was a spec we bought sight unseen in Hemingway. It is a ranch home and perfect for our needs at that time. This year she helped as we built our next home, a designer in Sanibel. She is excellent at her job and has truly become a friend. Her number is 352/266-0135. Would highly recommend her without hesitation. Best Wishes.

Eric Nolan is excellent. He doesn't pressure you and is very easy to work with. He made our process very easy.

Welcome back, and I hope you will both love it here! I used sales agent Kathy Ward and am currently building. She has indeed become a lifelong friend. There are many wonderful agents in TV to work with, I assure you! As stated above, some rentals may come with bicycles, but I am not sure where to rent them! I know there must be a place however and certainly someone on this forum will shortly have an answer for you! Enjoy your visit:)

As to your renting bicycle question....if you are going to be here a couple of months, you are better off buying one or two via TOTV classifieds, Craig's list, or yard sale. Rentals can get costly.

I know people that approach seasonal golf carts that way..come down, buy an older, inexpensive cart, use it for the season then sell it before they leave. Probably cheaper than renting one for $300+ a month.

:welcome: to the TOTV forum.
If you'll search the previous threads you'll find many recommendations for agents. It will be hard to choose as all have very good comments.

Aquilter, Another welcome to you from a wannabee. Hope you can convince your husband of the wisdom of becoming a frog. And enjoy your visit to TV this winter. I am in TV right now for a too brief visit and the weather is great! :welcome:
