Property near Lowes
 

I drive over that cart path on the property between the medical complex and Lowes quite often. I always wonder as I drive through that beautiful piece of property what the history of it is. Was it some kind of tree farm. It's not just open unused land. There is an irrigation system going through it and trees that are obviously planted that look like they are going to harvest. There are also several trails that make it look like a park of some sort.
Does anyone know who owns it and/or what it was used for?

Perhaps it once was an orange grove. Heard they were plentiful in this area til that really bad frost in the 80's when alot of the growers 'went under'. I've also wondered as well. So maybe someone here can give us both the answe.
