plenty of fish

thought it would be fun to see what singles are thinking about dating sites like match.com or plenty of fish (POF) etc....does anyone have a love story to tell which resulted from computer dating, or a horror story??? are most people honest with their profiles? let's hear from you....

Well, my husband and I met on eHarmony seven years ago. Two long stories on how we each decided to try it. This dating site is unique and pretty comprehensive. Affordable, too.
I would encourage any single to explore eHarmony. You will learn about yourself, enjoy the journey and proceed at your own pace, no matter what. This is not a 'hook-up" site. You needn't be apprehensive.

The only thing it can not tell you about is 'personal chemistry'. That, of course can only happen in person.

My hubby and I 'conversed' for months before mutually deciding to meet. And now we are living happily ever after.

eHarmony wanted to do a commercial with us, but we chose to keep our anonymity at that time.
They did send us a wedding present, though. A beautiful lead crystal bowl.

I do know of one couple from TV that met on Plenty of Fish. They met, they dated, they married, they're happy so far as I know.

Amazing how dating has changed from when we were growing up -- no more dating the boy/girl next door. Now, you meet online and your soul mate could be an ocean away. So, if you're thinking about it, I'd say be as honest as you can and then enjoy the ride. You're pretty, charming, intelligent and a nice person -- great mix.

personally

i personally am on that site and have met some very nice people...the down side is that it is very time consuming going through profiles of hundreds of men in undershirts before you find one in a tuxedo! i think it is better than hoping to meet a nice man at city fire...although i do love to dance there! for a few months i just hid my profile and only wrote to men whom i had selected, rather than answering letters from too many i did not have any attraction for...that is a good strategy...since posting my attitudes about celibacy for singles in my profile, that has weeded out a lot of the players!

Lotsa Frogs ~

After my long-time gentleman friend passed away two years ago, I joined POF, SFF and OKC and met a handful of men who lived within 20 miles from me. The one who lives 500 miles away has "stuck" ~~ so far, in spite of extreme differences in lifestyle.

Internet dating IMHO does work ! I'm rosarobin73 at POF
