MLS Realtors
 

Hello,
It is my understanding that, when shopping for a resale home in TV, in order to acess the entire inventory of homes one must deal with a "Villages" realtor for the VLS listings and with an outside realtor for the MLS listings. We have found a VLS realtor with whom we are happy. Does anyone have the name of a MLS or outside realtor they would recommend?

After looking at Lyle Gant's website over a period of years, for more hours than I care to mention, I felt I owed it to Lyle to use him for the MLS part or our home search. Lyle's site had given me an in depth education in home values and a good feel for what desirable features were worth.

Lyle put my name on a robo-email list that sent out price reductions as soon as they happen. After a day of looking at houses with a VLS salesperson, who was very nice I must add, and seeing nothing we were interested in, Lyle's robo-email popped up with a grand-slam of a deal on a house that had, just moments before the email, dropped into our price range.

With the end of the business approaching I called Lyle. He agreed to meet us at the house at 5:00. At 5:15 we said "Let's go back to your office and write up an offer." By 7:00 we were at RJ Gators with friends celebrating our good fortune.

A counter-offer and final offer the next day sealed the deal. Lyle was very accommodating and supremely competent, and has a great personality to boot.

You can't go wrong with Lyle Gant in our experience.

Realty Executives or ERA-Tom Grizzard are both excellent firms.

Definitely, use the Villages agent AND the MLS agent.

It is not a secret game you have to play. The agents all realize this is being done and they welcome it.

We used Lyle Gant when we were looking for resales. He was extremely helpful in learning the ins and outs of The Villages. We ended up buying a new property through The Villages. We would highly recommend him.
