Removing Window from bedroom?

We are going to be building a Begonia and wondered if any of you have removed one of the windows from the bedroom. We are thinking that we like a darker room for the bedroom and also this would make more wall space. Has anyone only had one window in their bedroom and how do you like it?
So many choices and decisions to be made. Everyone has been so helpful!

I'm a big symmetry person so I personally would not remove just one....BUT we are building an Ivy and we had 2 of them removed (2 on one wall). We removed the 2 that were on the side wall...the only view would be our neighbor's house. You can get room darkening shades and room darkening window treatments/drapes that work quite well...maybe that would be an option for you?

Wouldn't removing a window or two be counter-productive to having a cross circulation of air in the bedroom?

Personally, we like a cross circulation of air with windows open in the months it is not hot and humid.

We built the Iris and considered removing the two windows on the side but kept them in, which I am happy we did, nice, light and bright when open and room darkening draperies can be added if you fee necessary.

We built a Holly and I wish we had removed 2 windows in the master bedroom

I built a Lily and removed the 2 side windows facing the neighbor's wall, glad I did it, and I did get a credit. Gave me more options for furniture arranging too.

Plantation Shutters solves the problems providing light duing the day and closing off any light at night

We built an Iris and had the two side windows removed. We still get plenty of light in the bedroom. I am glad we did that as we have more wall space. We don't really open the windows in the bedrooms mainly just the back sliding doors off the living room and nook. I also removed the window in the nook area on the side as I was basing my decision looking at other models such as the Cedar and Whispering Pine.

I agree, we first were going to ask ask about adding a window in the nook on the WP, decided not to.

/but we will add a sliding door in place of the lanai windows.
