What do your grandkids call you?

For some reason our twin grandsons which are now 17 started calling me "popeye" (their other grandfather was papa) when they were old enough to start talking. Since then all our other four have called me "popeye", and I LOVE it. They call my wife Lala, which is their version of her name Lila.

My only granddaughter calls me grandpa or "daddy's daddy" to explain the difference between three grandfathers if all are present.

I am Bapa and my wife is Mimi. First grandaughter was young and could not say Grandpa and Gramdma so we became Mimi and Bapa and all of the grandkids after that all call us that as well

I am Grammy, Gram, and Grammy Grams to my Granddaughter. My Grandson calls me Grandma Debbie.

I'm Nana because his other grandmother was already Grandma to her first grandson. Wasn't sure I'd like that designation but I think I'd love anything the little monster chooses to call me. (Man, three year olds are tough on us old folks, especially when they're all boy!)

We're Gramma and Grampa. Mike's mother is Gramma-Great and their other great Grandmother is Nanny. Every once in a while, we'll be called Pat and Mike...:D

We're Nanny and Poppi....

Mr. Grampi II 11-19-2012 10:21 PM

My 3 grown daughters called my late father "Mr. Grampi.... thus my name on this board. My only grandson is all of 9 months old, he calls me "oti doti".... translation unknown but perhaps it means Mr Grampi !

My MIL informed us in no uncertain terms, at the birth of our first son, that she "was to be called Mimi and nothing else." I was in the process of getting annoyed about this when my FIL said, "Well, if she's going to be Mimi, I want to be Pee Pee!"

Hard to stay mad after that.

I'm Mimi to half of them and Grandma to the others because their other grandmother took Mimi. I wanted to be Nana but it didn't appeal. My late husband said he was too young to be called Grandpa but agreed to be called Uncle Grandpa.

Our grandchildren call us Papa and Sugar. I like to think it is because I am so sweet.
