Good morning TOTV'ers!!!

What is the meaning of the term "bump" when I see that as a response or comment on a subject?

Generally it means you move (bump) the thread to the top of the page to made it more conspicious for viewing. You can also say that it's refreshing the message for viewing!

Your welcome. Bump is also the name of a fad dance we used to do back in the 70's.

The use should include what other info the person is seeking rather than just the word

Doesn't "bump" bring the whole thread back up? Why repeat the earlier post?

Jimbo ... I've often had the same thought. If a member is motivated to bump a thread, why not add a comment or ask a question? :posting:

I think that is the correct thing to do, others can't read their mind

bump is also prison/street slang for "forget about it." for example, "I was going to get engaged and then I met this chick Lisa and I said bump that."
