Internet Explorer 10

IE 10 is now available for the Windows7 systems. Has anyone installed it yet? Any new features? Any adverse affects?

I do not need to hear anything about the pluses of Chrome or Firefox. I already have them installed as my secondary and tertiary browsers.

Thanks,
Z

A quick Google search shows only a pre release has been made at the present time. I don't think the final product has yet to be released. I would stay away from a pre release unless you have a test system.

Vista is four years old but it's the operating system that came with my PC. I've had no reason to change as it has worked well for me.

I understand that IE 10 it will work with XP platform as that is 50% of Microsoft users business platform. XP is 11 years old..

Sorry. I thought that the final release was anounced. After rereading the article it menitions that when the final release of IE10 for Windows 7 is ready in the coming months it will be available via the Windows Updates process.

I guess I will wait.

Thanks,

IE right now is a thorn for me...for some reason it has stopped responding on my desk top but not the lap top. Not sure where the problem lies and also my wireless printer won't print from either pc ... makes me crazy.

If you are using IE 10. Bill Gates has a penchnt for releasing programs that have bugs in them. His way of trying to stay ahead of the curve. NOT

You have something more going on with your computer than IE. I am betting that it is malware or some services running in the background that you may be unaware of.

What O/S are you using, hopefully Windows 7, and when did this start? It may be that you just have to run a restore to correct the issue.

The sky is the limit with wireless printing issues.

I keep several browsers on my PC so if one does not work I can still get on the net and fix the one not working.
I did down load 10 (using windows 7) and had a problem rebooting. Rebooted in safe mode and then rebooted again in regular mode and have not had any problems since.
