Regripping Clubs

I need to regrip my irons. Can anyone recommend a shop that has a good grip selection and reasonable?

Have you ever tried to regrip them yourself? It's very easy to do and once you get the hang of it, it takes maybe 3-5 min per club. Therefore you can get the grips online or wholesale and change when you want. Probably $20 to $30 cheaper.
To give you an idea:
1) take a sharp knife and cut the length of the grip
2) peal off the grip
3) scrape off the tape with a knife
4) put normal 2 sided masking tape on the shaft by wrapping it around tight
5) if you want it thicker, put an extra wrap on it. That's what it's called
6) douse the tape in mineral spirits.
7) push the new grip over the shaft
8) align the grip. Based on type might have a"learners" grip. Or none like leather
9) let dry for a day

If you have a vice grip, it works nicer to have it hold it while you do it.
Same way the pros do it. I used to work at a large golf shop in my spare time a few years ago.
Otherwise to save you the time, the one on Rolling Acres is fine too

What does the mineral spirits do to the new tape?

Sarasota Golf School has a good selection , and sometimes the price includes installation.

In old days people used gas. Ewwww. It "activates" the sticky part of the tape and basically makes it easier to slide the grip on. Than it dries to the grip.

My husband had his done at the golf outlet in Santa Fe Crossing. $7 ea club.
He tends to shop there while I have my hair done at Victoria's Hair Salon in the same plaza on 466 between Morse and Rolling Acres Rd.

My husband goes to the Golf Liquidators in the Sante Fe Shopping Plaza on 466. They are great and charge very little.
