Favorite news anchor?

Who's your favorite news anchor? Just listing national news anchors in this poll. And just the U.S. There is a lovely French news anchor woman--Mélissa Theuriau -- who seems to have a ton of followers on the Internet.

Brian Williams in the lead. I usually watch Diane Sawyer mostly because she precedes Jeopardy.

I loved Carole Simpson in New York when she was on the air because of her soothing voice.

David Muir who subs for D. Sawyer. He anchored in Boston before he jumped to ABC.

A little outdated list. Russ Mitchel is the local evening anchor on WKYC in Cleveland Ohio and has been there since January of 2012. Also Charles Gibson has been retired in 2009.

We have Megan Kelly on for much of the time she is on air. I was going more for the Prime Time anchors.

Ditto. DAVID MUIR. Nice young intelligent fellow; fast thinker and speaker. Two years younger than our son.

We love when he is on rather than Diane Sawyer who talks too slowly and is getting a little "ditzy".

David gets in MUCH MORE NEWS in the same slot of time. He's paid his dues abroad and in covering war zones.........is in line to be the anchor when she retires. I believe he's from the Syracuse area; graduated Ithaca and Georgetown Universities...........plus studied abroad.

Excellent journalist.

My vote is for Anderson Cooper. Seems to have a lot of integrity and compassion. He could be living on his family's wealth (his mother is Gloria Vanderbilt), but he has made his way in the world of TV journalism.

I also like David Muir on ABC.

Well.............

We will never see our granddaughter in front of the camera, she writes the news for a major television station in a decent size city and in her first job as weekend news editor she has fulfilled the first part of her dream. She graduated college this summer after interning on the Today show.

She is a woman who believes in the First Amendment and carefully phrases her sentences to always write the DOCUMENTED truth. Speculation is not part of her procedure.

I could not resist the chance to brag. We love her so.
