Warning floormasters!!
I wish I had read the previous posts on Floormasters. They just finished an install for us and they are AWFUL. The pricing and working with the people in the office was no problem but they subcontract all the installations and it took 3 times longer to install and no one in their office cares. There are so many other flooring subs I would highly recommend going to anyone but Floormasters.

i second that opinion based on our experience! they are not in our future - ever!

first prob was when the sub did not show up as scheduled and the call to our salesman was a bust because he had failed to return from the daytona 500 as scheduled! maybe the sub was with him! :/ when they finally got a sub to come a week later he was as useless as you know what! he cut out a soft spot in the floor where the estimator and my husband agreed that it only needed to be repaired from the top and not from underneath as the sub insisted. the sub then balked because no one was going to pay him for the extra work he cause himself to have to do. and the he came down with sciatica and was rolling around our lawn claiming to be in pain. we told him to get off the lawn and out of the neighborhood! i called floormasters to relate the story and to offer to go into their showroom to do my irate customer routine if need be to get the job finished...we had an excellent sub at the house the next day who really had to work some magic to repair all the original sub had screwed up! no second chances for floormasters! |
Sounds like Floormasters has changed greatly in the 4 years I've been here.
They put down engineered wood flooring throughout my house and I was extremely pleased with the contractor's they used. Very professional, courteous and neat. Recently I went into Floormasters to buy tile for my living and dining rooms and the sales staff was so disinterested in helping me, that after 20 minutes of trying to talk to him on what was available, I walked out and never said goodbye. |
In their defense, we had our lanai tiled by Floormasters 1.5 years ago and everything went well- the sub was great and the result was very nice. However, based upon the rave reviews on TOTV of East Coast Flooring, we just had our master suite done in engineered lumber and I have to say that they and their workers were wonderful to work with and they did a fantastic job.

East Coast
East Coast does not use Subs. They have 2 crews that work for them. We had Daryl and his crew and they were the best, plus when they give you a price it does not change during the installation.
