How to fix a train
We have a battery operated train that grandson loves playing with, it makes the right noise, plays the music but will not move. It has a coal car that is attached to it. Of course we've changed the batteries, tried a few other things, etc...
Anyone have any other ideas? |
Mudder:
I can't tell you how to repair the train. But if your grandson likes trains. Send me a PM, with a ship to address, and I will have a 2013 Train Calendar send to you. |

Thanks Tal, but this is only a cheap plastic set that goes aroud one track. Probably easier to toss it and get a new one ! Maybe we'll bring it to the train show next week.....but that would probably be an insult to the "real" trains.

Toy Repair
Check to see that the gear train between the motor and the drive wheels are not full of lint and are aligned properly. Just a little WD-40 could help, but not too much as it will attract dirt and fibers. Check the wires/connections to the drive motor. Burnish the battery contacts. Hope this helps.

Thanks Jeff, we're trying all that right now.
