While I was at Doggie Doo Run Run this morning a white van with writing on it and blasting with loudspeakers up full volume came by going maybe 20 m.p.h.

The white van's speakers kept on repeating "Repent, repent, repent!" Followed by some kind of phrase about being saved by Jesus if you repent.

Anyone know what church this white van comes from? I was too far away to read the writing on the van being a good 600 feet or so from it at the time.

Well, we only have 5 days left!!

I am going to do the same thing I did for Y2K, remember that dontcha, what a joke. Watch a little TV, go to bed and get up and have fun again on the 22d.

I have had so much fun in my retirement right here among all of you people that I would chose this place again.

But I don't think the world is going to end just now.

I feel it in my heart.

Our daughter and future son-in-law decided 3 weeks ago to get married on Dec.21 for a few different reasons, one of which is the significant date on the Mayan calendar. They figured that the best thing to do would be to dance with friends and family for the evening! So that's where we'll be. Glad I didn't have to do any of the planning and other hoopla that went with our other daughter's wedding many moons ago. There's no time for that this time.

I understand that way back when the Mayan calendar was being cut, the chief stonecutter went to the Chief and said that he had run out of room on 21 December 2012. The Chief just said, "wrap it up", "it will drive them crazy". See you all on the 22nd.:D

I just reciently read that the Myans didn't take leap year into consideration so the world should have ended 7 months AGO.

And...the other thing not mentioned is they FOUND a calendar in a cave that continued past the date. But why would they push that since it would than stop the paranoia. Lol. But once it passes, they will than say..oops they found the new date. :blahblahblah:

We're supposed to get on a plane on Dec. 22. Hope it's still there. Oh wait... It's American Airlines, so an entirely different problem.
