Hi i live in Laconia NH and and looking forward to reading some post and leaning about the villages. I hope to find time in the near future to visit and experience the lifestyle.

I have been where you are. Read, listen, observe, study, rent, and all of the other things people will suggest and that I am sure that you will think of yourself. The people you will find on this site are a virtual font of knowledge and experience. They are honest and have nothing to gain but goodwill.
Don't be surprised if you go through some changes in the process.
I was absolutely sure that I had no interest in living in TV (I don't play golf) but my wife had been studying it for some time and suggested that we visit while we were on a trip to Fl for another reason. I agreed to the visit just to keep her happy, which is my main goal in life (OK guys, you know that you do the same thing). We took the trolley tour and met with the sales agent (Martin) that my wife had been communicating with and stayed at the Waterfront Hotel. The next day we rented a golf cart and explored like Lewis and Clark. We stayed another night and, in the end, I told my wife to leave me my toothbrush and go home to sell the house. Of course that didn't happen that fast and we have since rented a couple of times before buying on November 2nd. The movers will be here on December 18th to complete our move to our new home in TV.
We have already made so many friends in TV that we feel like we have made a great decision for the rest of our lives. We plan to be Village Frogs until we croak. My financial advisor in TV (Edward-Jones) says that we need to plan to live longer because people DO live longer because they are happy and active.
