Ocala Windows...

Ocala prime windows are definitely the worst product that I have ever encountered. Not only do they not open and close correctly, they are definitely overpriced. I have several that steam up in the morning, do not slide correctly and as a double pane window do not fit the bill. If they were used where I come form they would be history.

I cannot attest to the quality of the windows but I can address your "steaming up" issue.

If you have windows that have condensation on them, that means there is excessive humidity in your home. Similar to an ice tea glass in the summer , you get moisture on the outside of the glass when it is humid. The glass itself is cold and the humidity condensates on the inside pane.

As a seller of windows to contractors, I get this call every year from homeowners thinking their windows "leak". Nothing could be further from the truth.

Hey my man, just place your hand next to the middle extrusions of the windows and tell me what you feel. Excess humidity in my home, I don't think so...when the cold air from the outside leaking to the interior of the home....condensation occurs. I also forgot to mention the wondersul spring that assists the opening of the lower window unit....what can be said about the spring that slides to the bottom of the window?

Are these replacement windows? I haven't heard of Ocala Windows.

When it's real hot outside and the air is on, condensation always appears on the outside of our windows.

If they lost the thermoseal there is water vapor between the glass layers.

Replacement windows, no, they are prime windows that came with my new home. Checked in my neighborhood and seems like everyone I talked to faced the same situations.....well, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone....God Bless!

if you have low E windows, there will be a certain amount of condensation on the OUTSIDE glass during certain climatic conditions. There should never be condensation on the inside of the window.

I have noticed condensation on the window frames (inside) of our new home. At first I thought it was the high humidity in the house and thought it would improve after living in it awhile and using the a/c. It hasn't improved and seems to be worse when the temperature drops outside. We've lived here a month. Is this what you're referencing? Can anyone tell me if this is normal in a new home and will it improve? Could this be because there wasn't any insulation put around the windows during installation? I would like to be a bit educated before I report it to the builder. Thanks.

If you have a new house you should consult warranty. We have a new house and our windows are fine.

Is it a NEW new house or a NEW resale house? I am confused.

If this is a new home contact the Warrenty Dept. they are responsible for having this situation repaired.
