Homeowners insurance for no full time owners

Can someone advise me on where you can obtain insurance on a new home. We close January 4th and Ark royal who our agent applied to, declined us due to our not planning to be there full time. Our intention is to be back and forth from where we live full time 40 miles away at least every 2 or 3 weeks until retirement in 2 years. I appreciate any guidance. Thanks.

Try Tom Keedy agency 352-753-1177. They have us with St. Johns. We aren't full time either.

Try Allstate Elaine Fisette at 753-4340. It's good to get more than one quote.

Contact Rita Canty with Brightway Insurance out of Jacksonville - (904) 646-1850

They represent a vast majority of the insurance companies what write HO insurance in FL. I'm sure they'll be able to help you.

We got our homeowners insurance through Rita a couple of years ago when we bought - we're not f/t residents, either.

Bill :)

We are part time residents also and got insurance through AAA...great coverage/great rate and included sink hole insurance.

I too have AAA for Homeowners on a CYV and Auto after recently moving here from Louisiana. It helps if you are a AAA member. If not, you can join same day as application. Mine also includes sinkhole. Go to their office on 441 near Bichara Blvd.

We have AAA and are part timers also.

I second Brightway in Jacksonville. They have been key to work with (Steve and Rita) and is family owned. Quotes came quickly and follow-ups were timely.

Andy Anderson agency in Eustis was able to work wonders for me when I was having trouble finding insurance for a rental. Ask for Ann Snapp.
