Tick...tick...tick...

No, I'm not talking about my biological clock. I am now officially retired and counting down the days before I move from Minnesota to The Villages. I've still got a lot to do, including selling my home, but am hoping to move south when many from The Villages are moving north for the summer. I suspect I'm doing things a little backwards but I never intended to maintain two homes.

Looking forward to meeting all of you one of these days.

Happy New Year!

Best of luck to you. We were in a similar position after visiting TV in June 2011. After the visit we put our plan in place, sold our home, and rented for a year. We had our design meeting in Aug 2012, retired and moved into our new home in November. We're making lots of new friends and having a great time. It's worth the effort and the wait!

Well, you have a lot to do to get ready to move if you are anything like me.
I could not imagine how much "stuff" we had accumulated during the 28 years we had lived in our house. We had to decide what to donate to charities, what to sell, what to trash, and what to bring. Big job and very stressful, believe me.

Everything here in The Villages is worth any amount of work you have to put in so you can move here.
