INR testing
 

Does anyone know where to go for INR testing in The Villages? Preferably some place that uses a monitor like a Coumadin clinic. Thanks for the help.

I go to Central Florida Heart Center, I believe they have a location in The Villages. Otherwise my P.C.P. said that most of the Cardiologist offices have an INR Lab to get tested at. You can probably check the diffrent lab companies like Labcorp.

Thanks for the info. I contacted a couple of the labs and they all do the testing.
Dr. Offices won't test unless you are their patient. Since I will only be in The Villages for a couple of months I'll probably use the lab in Lake Sumter Landing.

if you need regular testing see if you can get a home meter. It looks and works like a blood glucose meter. I test my pt.inr every week with one, it takes a couple of minutes and then you call the results into the meter company and they notify the doctor.

Citrus Cardiology has a coumadin clinic.......across from Too Jays in Lake Sumter Landing.
By appointment only and usually are always on time.
