I understand what the purpose of the bond is. I'm wondering what the maintenance Non-Ad Valorem tax covers? If it is for the maintenance of the roads, utilities, etc, what does the real estate Ad Valorem taxes cover? I have friends in other areas of Florida that don't have a special maintenance tax. Their areas are maintained. Thanks !

The maintenance Non - Ad Valorem maintains the great landscaping that we have in the common areas of The Villages. The crews that you see mowing, trimming and weeding up and down Morse Blvd, Buena Vista and other roads in The Villages are paid out of this fund and it is overseen by the VCDD.

The real estate Ad Valorem Taxes cover the normal county government areas such as Roads, Library, Stop Lights, County Public Schools etc.

Thanks Indy. I thought that, but like they say, you never assume. Just wasn't sure if that fee covered the curbing, paving, holes in road. Thanks for clearing that up.
