New to Village of Charlotte
 

My husband and I moved into the Village of Charlotte in mid-November. We have met a few neighbors on our street but were wondering about any regular socials for the village to get more involved. Any ideas about how we can get hooked up with the Village of Charlotte? We are just loving it here.

We are interested in this too ~ we settled on our home in Charlotte in mid-november as well, back in the NE and coming back in a week or two!!

In our neighborhood, folks like you stepped up and got things started. We have monthly socials in the winter and weekly driveway parties in the summer. Plus book clubs, neighborhood golf, ladies dine out, etc. It is just for our street (about 100 residents) not for the entire village. Every neighborhood is different, but they all need people to organize and be willing to get things done. Knock on some doors, see if anyone wants to help. Good Luck.

There is a women's social for Charlotte. It meets the second Monday of each month. We meet at Captiva, Hope you can make it ! We have guest speaker's, auction's and trips ! Any ideas please let us know !

Why don't you reserve a time at your rec center. Get the folks you do know to help you. Hang a note on everyones door telling them about your meeting. Have them bring a dish to share for 10 people. you and your friends buy hot dogs, buns, tea and coffee.
Someone needs to ask who would volenteer to run the meeting. Someone will take charge. They can find what interests the group.
