We have window tint on our sun room windows, it was not done by Solar Guys because at that time, several years ago, they were not doing it. Ours was done by an independent contractor and we are very pleased with it.

I have used Solar Guys for other improvements on the home and have been very pleased with their work and price. If they are doing window tint I would think they are doing an excellent job.

Had our front windows tinted by Solar Guys. Great job...many choices for density that provide protection against suns rays. Just make sure that when you clean your windows that you use an ammonia free cleaning product.

Solar Guys, IES, Underglass or All Pro. Any recommendations?

Just had several windows tinted with 3M Window Film by "Solar Controllers" and am VERY pleased. No special treatment needed once the product cures - can use standard cleaning solutions including ammonia based products. Due to problems with glare, i selected their darkest film.

Try Doc's Restorations for that...MUCH cheaper than Solar Guys!

Solar Guys.

I haven't used them but would. I have never heard anything bad about their solar tube installation. Didn't know they did Window film.

Still not sure about window film, but the glare can be harsh here.

I had Solar Guys install the window tints on my dining room sliders and living room double windows last week. The salesman that came to show the products was very knowledgeable and had a variety of films at different prices and talked about the advantages of all. Price was very reasonable and the person that came to install was on time, neat, personable and very professional. I trust Solar Guys cause this was my third purchase from them. I previously bought 3 solar tubes and a solar attic fan.

The film was installed on the east side of my villa to cut down the glare and sun in the early morning. So far, I am very pleased with the film.

You will be very happy with solar guys! Top notch, They do a great job They stand behind their work with quality craftsmanship everyone is very knowledgeable at a decent price. The best part about it is they are all good clean-cut guys that take a bath every day. Which cannot be said about some contractors here in the villages. They put in a solar tube for us and we were so happy with it we had them come back and put the second one in. Their name came up at a neighborhood picnic that is how we found out about the everyone there that they had done work for was very please

Does anyone have long term experience with applied window tinting? How long will it last before it starts to look shoddy? What happens when it needs to be replaced?

About seven years ago, we added a large sunroom on the back of our home which has very large windows on three sides of the room. Being very new to living in Florida we did not realize what all these huge windows would be like in the summer. We found the room much too hot to use, so we ended up with tint and roll down blinds. The tint shows no signs of wearing and I actually forget it is there. Another feature which has not been mentioned, is that when you are outside you cannot see into the room. The tint is like looking into a mirror. If and when it starts to show wear we will do it again.
