Beegees

On March 6 at the Savannah Center is a Bee Gee Tribute band that is the best tribute band I have seen anywhere. (Saw them last year) Stayin' Alive does the complete catalog of BeeGee tunes. Yes, the BeeGees are more than disco. It is worth the $25 investment and if you like the BeeGees or music for that matter, I recommend you see the show. You will not be disappopinted.

I LOVE the Beegees. Do you think the younger people south of 466A love them too? I don't care, I still love them.;)

I am kidding someone...don't take me seriously too often on this subject of age.

That's good to know, Tom. I bought tickets the other day ... I like the BeeGees music but wasn't familiar with the reputation of this tribute band.

Thanks for the (p)review

This is a medley of Stayin' Alive recorded at The Savannah Center at The Villages. Might have been the show I was at. It is a mixture of different songs

Question is, "At 65, am I considered ancient or of the younger group?"

Sad part is, although Disco put money into The Brothers Gibb's pocket, the stereotype of being one of the groups that started disco, has hurt their reputation (my opinion) The BeeGees early stuff is great and Barry and Robin have written some beautiful songs and could harmonize as well as The Beatles, Everly Brothers and Beachboys. They deserve more credit than many give them.

I agree. I really like their early stuff. When I first heard them on the radio, I thought it was the Beatles. The disc jockey said the Bee Gees, but I thought he was just messing around with their names.

It was really too bad that they, and several others of that era felt the need to jump on the disco bandwagon.
