looking for contractor to extend D.R.
 

we have a oleander home and thinking of extending the dining room. we did get a couple estimates and Wow outrageous!! for a simple extension. Roof is already up and existing.

Any suggestions or recommendations?? thanks sunsetgal

I think what you are seeing is fairly typical, because from design/engineering to the finish product will involve 8 or 10 subcontractors ( everyone is a specialist), and the general contractor adds his piece of the pie to each one. Also, you will find that the process will take quite a bit longer than you may expect.

I am curious what the addition works out to as far as cost/sq.ft?
