New Friends
 

Just another reason we enjoy the villages. Had dinner @ Mallory C C tonight. While waiting to be seated we struck up a conversation with the couple next to us. Our beeper went off and my husband offered the couple chating with us to join us at our table. We had a great time meeting new people and we hope to see them again.

Isn't it wonderful how receptive people are to starting conversations with strangers, and then enjoying dinner together. It takes such little effort to step outside the box.

Here's further proof that Villagers are friendly... Is that avatar a Ravens cap? If so, good luck in the Super Bowl tomorrow. You have the best team out there. And these wishes come from a Pittsburgh native. (Rivalry to resume next season!)

The same thing happened to Sandy and I on our last trip to TV: We went to Katie Belle's for breakfast and got there a few minutes before they opened. The staff encouraged us to wait at a table just inside the dining area and did the same for another couple as well who asked if it was o.k. to wait at the same table where we were. "Sure, have a seat!" Sandy commented about the car logo on his ball cap........and the conversation quickly revealed that we all had so many of the same interests and background in common. When we were seated for the buffet, they accepted our offer to sit at our table - we had a very enjoyable time.

Always fun and interesting to meet new people!!

Lila and I enjoyed sharing a booth and friendship with Janet and Carl last evening at Mallory. The chance meetings and shared experiences are one of the great joys of life in the Villages. Go Ravens (Quentin's favorite team)!!!!!&

That's another thing I love about TV. A chance for new friendships.

I think it's like going back in time where people were more open and trusting that whomever they met would be a nice person.

Glad to hear your in TV Ed. Bill-n-Brillo are due on February 9th.
