My husband has been referred to Dr. Melanson for hernia surgery. Has anyone been to him?

Yes, he was on call at TV hospital when my husband had an emergency appendectomy, he did an excellent job and also picked up on something being very wrong, five days later he did the required colon surgery.

My husband had excellent care from both him and his office staff.

I have since met several people who have had surgery done by him and have been very pleased with the result.

I would add that he does not have a huge personality!, but my husband liked him just fine and I think your husband will be in good hands if you use Dr. Melanson. If you have more concerns, you could always google him and check his background. I don't let anyone touch us until I have checked into their education and residency experience.

Thank you for the updated responses. I did a search and the previous responses were positive as well.

He did my husband's hernia surgery 5 years ago and all went well. He likes him very much and would recommend him highly.

Did a triple hernia repair on me three months ago.

I'm pleased.

Would not hesitate to use him again for a procedure he does.
