Special Moment
 

We were on the 9th tee at Pelican this morning when 4 bobcats emerged from the tall grass to the left of the gold tees. They crouched down cautiously for a moment, then the largest one darted across to the grassy area right of the tees. The other 3 waited a second and then followed. It was really something to see!

Wow! That's what makes this area special - all year long we can spend more time outdoors and see wonderful wildlife moments like that!

That is incredible - would love to see something like that. LUCKY!!!!

I'm so jealous. When we lived on Hutchinson Island there were bob cats and my neighbor took a picture of a young bob cat playing with a stray cat in the parking lot. Unbelieveable!! Did anyone get a picture?

No one had a camera with them. I was playing with a couple of guys from my karate group, and two of them immediately got into their "cat" stance....funny guys. If only their golf game was as sharp as their sense of humor!

You know I really enjoyed watching the wild life there, and I think bobcats are beautiful, BUT I have to tell you they are not big kitties. The young bobcat you saw playing with the stray cat likely came back in a few weeks and ate it. When we lived on a farm in my youth, we had bobcats. Two of our large farm dogs got in a fight with one bobcat one night that we all witnessed. The dogs did not win.
