Just noticed in the restrictions
"only one dog may be kept by an owner".
Can you apply and get permission to have two? I'd hate to have to choose between my two girls who have been best friends all their lives. |
Interesting...not sure where you found that but I was informed it was two.

This is another example of different deed restrictions/requirements for different districts. My deed restrictions limit it to 2 pets per homesite.
|
Mine says two also but maybe it is for different types of houses such a villas, ranches, cottages, designers, etc.
If it does say one and you have two, no one from Deed Complainace will say anything unless someone complains to them. |
When the villages deed restriction guys came knocking at my door a few years ago it was two. Poor fishies, I had about 25 in the tank at the time. Sold 23 to Sakura to get in compliance.
Getting back to reality, I know a lot of homes in TV that have more than one or two pets. Oh no, here comes a new dog poop thread, if people didn't have so many pets they wouldn't be pooping on the neighbor's yard. |
I don't think you have to choose between the two dogs. In the past, when someone arrived with more pets than allowed, they were told it was OK to keep them, but they could not replace the excess pet(s) when they passed.

It's my understanding from talking to Villages Sales Reps that almost all Villages allow two domestic pets per household. But there are a few Villages that only allow one pet (I know that from Warren K who is a member of TOTV). It is commonly understood by Purchasers that they can bring an "extra" pet to TV, but when they die, they can't be replaced.
