First Visit May 16, 2013
 

Hello Everyone,
We are very excited about making our first visit from May 16th/20th. We presently live in Orange Beach, AL on the Gulf in a 3 bedroom condo. We will be here two years November 1, 2013 and are looking forward to listing our unit on that date as condo living is not for us after coming from a home on the water in Slidell LA, about 25 minutes from the French Quarter in New Orleans.

We have been following lots of threads on your website and have found them to be very interesting and informational. We feel TV is the place for us based off of what we have learned from all the posts and the marketing materials we have received from the developer.

Can't wait to meet some of you in person and get answers to questions that will pop up as we begin the process of hopefully building a new home in TV.

I hope that you have a great visit. Take the trolley tour, go to the squares for dancing and entertainment. If you get into a the Dunning and Shaw Show with Donna Moore, as it's usually packed. Visit the rec center and pools.

Most of all, talk to anyone and everyone you come into contact with as everyone is very friendly.,Tthey will easily tell you about TV. Be prepared to be blown away by the beauty of TV and it's friendly people.

We had our first and only visit last May. Despite the love bugs, I fell in love. Although I'm the queen of indecisiveness, we put money down on a lot and finally we are getting ready to sell our home here (outside Philly) and start building in TV. Welcome to the forum and hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did ours. Best of luck.

Hey, Cajun Girl and Philly Boy, get on down here! We're waiting for you! You will love this lifestyle!! Like some guy said to my husband and me when we were at the pool, "Why are we the lucky ones (to live here)." Good Luck with your visit...experience and do as much as you can...and pretty soon we'll see your post on here that you've become Villagers!

It sounds as if you like to live close to water. I love TV but really miss the ocean, more all the time. However The Villages is a vibrant, friendly, golf cart community. It's hard to resist the energy! I'm sure you'll be blown away. Most of us drank the koolaid and pulled out a deposit cheque! Good luck with your decision.

hi philly boy....you will love it here but you cannot find a decent hoagie roll at all. make your own cheese steaks. and fuhgeddabout the pizza....lousy, lousy.

I have just purchased a home in the Village of Pinellas and will be moving from Monroe, LA where I have lived for the past 26 years. Please keep in touch and hope y'all decide to make The Villages your new home. It is like no place I have ever seen.

I hope y'all enjoy your first visit as much as we did ours...I bet you will!! Our first visit was a few years ago but I remember the excitement like it was yesterday.

Family obligations are keeping us in NW Fla for the time being, but we look forward to the day we can move.
