Short Game Practice

After my last few rounds, I need practice on my short game ( < 50 Yds). Is there any place in TV other than a driving range where I can just hit shag balls?

There is a practice sand area behind Palmer golf academy where you can get 50 yards in. Go early to miss the people there. Also a place out by Sarasota Driving range - where the old range used to be.

Bonifay CC

Area next to Bonifay CC practice green. Pitch, chip, etc.

I'll second that the practice area by Bonifay Club House is a nice area for chipping and it has a very nice green. I also just played the new par 3 Palmetto, which is off Pinellas by the new course Evans Prairie. The Par 3 has a 300 yard walk from the first green to the second tee, I think bad planning by the designer. Anyway, they have a very large pitching practice area located in that open space to the right of Pinellas Drive just north of the Palmetto first green.

We commented on that area when we played Palmetto the first time. Seems a really strange place for a putting green and practice area.

If you don't mind shagging your own balls

go to the area behind archery area on historic side.

Originally, the second hole was going to be a par 4, but the beauty of that tree near the present tee, and the hazard it would create for second shots, led them to make it a par 3. Those areas between #1 and #2 are practice areas and are convenient to the road nearby.
