70-pound striped bass that shattered a 54-year-old state record

WOW - 70 lbs. That's a whopper.

Looks like that stripper was on steroids. I bet the water level dropped a few inches when he reeled it in. What a monster. It would have taken me hours to bring that puppy in.

I think I will print & photo shop my face over his. His fish looks so much better than my bluegill I catch.

Thats larger than the Stripers we catch here on Cape Cod!

Freshwater too I believe.

What would have been wrong with reeling in the fish, taking a series of pictures and measurements, and then returning the fish to the water?

Seemed an awful waste and shame to kill such a great animal.
