Just try to buy shoelaces!
I dare you to find replacement shoelaces anywhere (unless you want black or crazy colors). Just regular white athletic laces cannot be found. I've tried:
Walmart (only has kids sizes), Target, CVS, Walgreens, Shoebiz, Kohls, Steinmart, Ace Hardware, Belk, and on and on. You can find them online if you want to pay more than double the cost of the laces in shipping charges, and often requiring you to buy multi-pair packs. I only need one pair. This is crazy! If you've had any luck finding them, I'd sure appreciate the referral. |
Just bought some in the Dollar Store in Kohl's shopping center.

Thanks mac9 for the referral. I rushed right over there after reading your post. But alas, though they did have shoelaces, they were 8-packs and not nearly sturdy enough. Alas, I'll keep looking and until I find some, I'll just keep double-tying. :ohdear:

I buy athletic white laces in Publix. The Colony Plaza store has them near the pharmacy.
|
Payless by Target and Walmart in Leesburg has them.
|
TV pro shops have laces
|
Planned obsolescence. Today's shoes are not designed to outlast the laces.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I'll be in the car and on my way at 9:00am. Isn't this website great?

Just got back from Walmart on 466' large display back in the shoe department...athletic, sneakers, dress, boots..mostly $2 / pair.
|
by the time you need new shoelaces it is time to purchase new shoes. except for men's dress shoes which seem to last 20+ years.
|
Regardless of what size you buy according to the package they will too long. Athletic shoes are the worst.
