Golf Carts vs Gate Arms

Village Community Development Districts

On the left, go down to Golf Carts vs Gate Arms. Watch the videos.

Fascinating. Looks like mostly all of them are piggy backing to avoid stopping. A couple of them just drove off and I guess didn't know they were on camera.

Recognize a neighbor? :22yikes:

a perfect testimony to the fact that "seniors" have very poor "judgement".

Some have no sense of depth or speed or capability.

Too many just have no sense.

All the above requiring substantial effort to remain polite:a20:

Golf carts Vs. Gate arms?

If you are taking bets, Gocubsgo... I will put five dollars on the Golf carts.

The gate arms are losing right and left.

dont make the gates "break away" with a big sign "This Gate Does Not Break Away" take out a few windsheilds and it will stop

It's very amazing to me that so few people stop and take responsibility!

I'm guessing these are unmanned gates. Maybe the people go home and call the proper dept., although I doubt they are responsible kinds of folks or they wouldn't be running the gates in the first place.

Look like you might as well have someone design a flex gate that will reshape after a hit. Maybe Tupperware can make one.

keithwand 03-11-2013 10:27 AM

In an earlier posting someone wondered how many residents here were Mensa's.
After watching the videos it's quite obvious; NOT MANY!!!
Are folks really that STUPID?
Guess I just answered my own question

Maybe a Super Glue Gate that sticks to the car/cart!

I was a Mensa but not any more. I am postmenopausal now.

And mean as heck.

Easy solution - get rid of the gates. Obviously lots of people don't like them.

batman911 03-11-2013 12:38 PM

Maybe they could install those pop up tire spikes forward of the gates so if you break the arm, the spikes pop up and stop you. I'm sure that would put an end to the problem.

The gates are designed to control the flow of traffic, thus making it safer for golf carts to cross.
