What's needed for hedge trimming?
Being that it has been so cold lately and my hedge hasn't been trimed, will I need to wear an overcoat and ski-cap for trimming?

No. You can get your hedge trimmed and stay warm and toasty inside your house by using what I've found to be an extremely useful tool - - - - - - - - the telephone!
:pepper2: Bill :) |
Did my hedging Tuesday around noon

Although it will take a bit longer, you could alternately just wait another week or two then trim them! No need to thank me for the advice! It was all my pleasure to provide it. :ho: |
Thanks everyone for the great advice (I just got back from the Florida Keys. Phew!)
I went out yesterday at about 6 pm. and did a little trimming. It was nice at that time. My Firebush did not freeze completely so I'm cutting it back to about 4 feet; it's putting out new leaves. One hedge in front, inside my patio-villa fence, is overgrown. So I think I will use my telephone as Bill suggested. Although, I might need to sharpen it first? |
