friend needs Digoxin for dog

Visiting here and dog takes 12.5 two times a day. Only needs enough for 3 days and then they will be home. This is the same medicine people take.

Why not take the dog to Buffalo Ridge Animal hospital on 466 and get the dog some medication?

We called several offices and were told to get hold of their vet and over night the meds. Problem is they leave early tomorrow. One wanted to do an ekg first.

Got a call into their doctor to call here. Fingers crossed but still answer if you have the meds

Their vet back home should be able to call in a prescription to a pharmacy in TV to order them enough to cover them until they get back home. I would call the vet back home - just be sure to have the name of a pharmacy that is close and the phone # to give to the vet when you call.

Taken care of and the dog is fine. Found a vet to see him right away and he got his medicine.

Just for curiosity sake, who was the vet that found time to help you?

Do you mean 0.125mg twice a day?

I am sure you are right. 12.5mg could kill a horse.

Poster never said 12.5 mg. Just 12.5

The poster probably meant 125 mcg which is a very common dose (at least for humans:))
