We were raised on this bean soup.

I add tiny ditilini pasta rather than the bread, but still general recipe for pasta fagioli / pasta fazool ..

This uses dried beans which need to be soaked. I always soak them overnight.

There are short cut versions using canned beans. Also, no problem eliminating the meat portion. Have made it both ways.
Normally it is a meatless soup.

I made it all winter long. Today it's a heat wave of 55 degrees out and yesterday it was 61 degrees.......or I would send you some.....
