There's an iHospital in Gainesville that can replace the screen.

Mdc

The last time I had my computer repaired I remember the store MDC had a display showing they repaired IPads. They are on 441/27 East of The Villages. Easy to get to.

If you know anyone who is handy, YouTube.com has good tutorials. My husband has already repaired a laptop screen and IPod hard drives.

I know Apple charges $250 to replace screen. A friend of mine cracked his.

Thank you for the tip. I found a place called MMD Computer Center on 27/441 in Lady Lake so I am assuming that is the one you were talking about. They had it fixed in just a couple hours.

Good Customer Relation

You hear so much about "bad" customer relations I thought I would provide one that was outstanding. I had one of the first rather large Kindle's and a button on it broke inhalf and althrough I could use it I had to be careful. I called Amazon and explained my problem and that my Kindle was at least 3+ years old so it was way out of warranty but can they repair it. Net results: Within 3 days they delivered a "Brand New" Kindle to the house and all at NO COST..In addition I was told to keep any things that came with the original and the only responsibility I had was to return my broken one in the box they would send me. Needless I will be a long customer of Amazon. That is true Customer Service and Customer care. :bigbow:

That's why when deciding between a Nook and a Kindle the Kindle would win because of exceptional customer service. I know from experience how good it is.
