Moving to the Villages
 

Has anyone used a mover they can recommend? We are moving from Long Island NY to the Villages.
PODS are quite expensive and they require the container to be rented for 30 day.

I used PODS when I moved here from Long Island in 09. They dropped it in my driveway, I took my time packing, they picked it up and it was here the day after we closed. I took a few days to unpack it as it was August when we moved. I found it cheaper then a moving company. JMO

The least expensive way is to do it yourself and many have.

I used Village Mover twice. Reasonable, professional and hard working.

I moved from NYC last May and used Suddath which is connected to United Movers. Their sales office is here in TV. I did do a lot of research before I chose Suddath and I was very pleased. I had heard so many nightmares about moving companies that I was concerned about the process. Suddath was helpful, friendly, prompt, courteous and they gave me a very competitive price which is exactly what I payed for the move. No surprises at the end. Good luck with your move.
