Life long Bachelor gets married in TV
This may be inappropriate, but I wondered what other readers think about the story on page one of The Daily Sun about the life long bachelor who got married to a widow here in TV at Seabreeze.
IMHO marrying a life long bachelor would be extremely difficult. I have been married 110 years and I'm still working on my other half, cannot imagine what it would be like to marry someone who has never ever had to consider another person. By the way, I wish them much happiness. |

Another lady I know at 58 has never been married. She is very sweet and a wonderful woman but I doubt she could adjust to being married. I, too, wish them happiness. |

Happy for the couple
I, for one, am very happy for this couple. Its wonderful that they don't have to live these wonderful years alone in The Villages. May they celebrate many years together!

I have been with the same woman for 57 years of my 58 years:wave: and I doubt that I could re-marry. The most common reason people give for getting married after being single for so long or for re-marrying is "happiness" for me for we are separated I have decided to find "happiness"in other ways. Yes you clever women out there figured it out. My bride has spoiled the heck out of me and I will never find a replacement.Hmmmm if I go first will she re-marry OMG! Honey you there I gotta ask you a serious question:confused:

I know the couple personally. Ed and Joan are perfect for each other. They live only a few houses away from me. I attended their wedding and I'm confident this couple will survive. As Ed told me "It was time." Hey, I held out until I was 44. Ed outdid me by 25 years. Like he admitted.."He was the Villages most eligible bachelor. His new wife wasn't a bad catch either. Best wishes to the both of them. This is a happy story for the happy paper. Great news.

I wish those wishing this couple the best, but saying it probably won't work, would do these folks a favor and not say anything at all. What a beautiful story and to say anything less should be done between friends, with your spouse, whatever, but please not on a public forum.
And bye the way he said he waited till he "found the one he couldn't live without". Enjoy the moment and the beauty of what you both been lucky enough to find. |

:crap2:I agree!! |
I live across the street from Tom, so this couple are my neighbors also. They are a great couple, seem like a perfect match. So happy they found each other. We are such a close knit neighborhood, so when Ed married Joan he inherited all of us too. We love them both!
