Ice Cream Shop

As posted in todays paper the owner of Bonifay & Evans Prairie will be opening an Old Fashion Ice Cream Parlor in Brownwood between City Fire & The Theater. Should be a great NEW addition to Brownwood and TV eateries.Best of luck Fred. I'm not connected with any of these except to spend my money there.

We went to Mystic Ice Cream Shop in Fruitland Park on 466A. Homemade, real ice cream, not frozen yogurt, and over 30 flavors. Served in a homemade waffle cup.
Also, "adult" concoctions. They had to get a liquor license to sell them. It's in a small strip plaza, owned by a Village resident and only open from 6 to 10.
REALLY GOOD!!

Thought this post was about the ice cream parlor opening in Brownwood? Well anyway, hasn't Dairy Queen been downsizing? I have seen quite a few close and none opening.

I'm not so crazy about Another ice cream palor although the people on that side will need one. I'd like to see a Palor that makes HEALTHY SMOOTHIES with real fruits, yogurt, (not the sugar ones) added vitamins, etc.... That is where I would spend my money. We went to High Five other night and $10.00 for 2 cups of ice cream is high. You can buy a gallon for much less. It's nice for an occasional treat though.

Mr. softie

Please let them sell soft serve too!

The parlor couldn't be in a better location - across from the square and between the movie theatre and City Fire. Almost guaranteed to be a winner unless they price themselves out of the market.

I was told we had a Dairy Queen here (I think on 466 in that vacant fast food building near Southern Trace) but it couldn't make a "go" of it here! Too bad as a Peanut Buster Bar would be a wonderful treat now and then!!!!!

I know a "little" about those two owners and they are fantastic business men. I'm hoping its decorated as a realllyyyyyy Old fashioned Parlor and they service light sandwiches, burgers and hotdogs. I'm really looking forward to it. I know I'll be there.

Yes, Dairy Queen closed a while ago, so did Brusters. Sad but true.

yes they do have a fantastic location. If they decorate it really cute like an old fashion palor I'm sure it will be booming

I hope their prices aren't as expensive as Evans Prairie!!!!!!!!

slightly off topic but sufficiently related.....we have watched two Dairy Queens close down in TV since we have been here.

Now just how is it possible a Dairy Queen cannot survive in TV?

btk
