Why should I see Dr. Martinez Cruz

I am thinking about switching docs and I would like recommendations. One of the docs which some individuals comment on is Dr. Martinez Cruz. Why do you like him?

Thanks.

Please see the thread "Dr. Martinez-Cruz has opened his own practice" in this Medical and Health Forum. His training is exceptional, he has great rapport with his patients, he's a good listener, he's not afraid to speak the truth even if it reflects poorly on another physician (in opposition to our impression that "they all protect each other"), he's not simply a pill-pusher, and he is readily available. Why not make an appointment with him and judge for yourself? His phone number is 352-750-6650, and he is located right in TV (even golf cart accessible!).

Check him out on this website and see what others think about him. You could, right now, ask to just sit and speak to him and see for yourself what kind of doctor he is.

Don't expect any bells and whistles in his practice, he is just establishing his own private practice and it is very basic, but he is the best.

Isn't an internal medicine doctor a specialist? He charges more than a GP, right?

He can qualify as an internal medicine physician but serves his patients as a PCP (primary care physician) and charges appropriately.

Dr. Martinez Cruz

I have seen 4 different doctors in The Villages (one every year since I moved here) and couldn't click with any of them until I met Dr. Martinez Cruz. Dr. Cruz is the type of doctor that cares for his patients; he does not have a timer letting him know that his allocated time for the patient is over. Dr. Cruz does not send you to have tests or procedures that you don't need just so the labs would make money from the insurances.
Dr. Cruz even treats patients with no insurances, just for $50. . . .where else do you see a doctor with such a good heart? Dr. Cruz is a very competent and very well educated doctor with an impressive background; he has even taught at Harvard and practiced at Mass General Hospital in Boston. I'm glad that the doctor has his own practice and I sure hope he's here to stay; I would hate to have to find another doctor . . . he's the best, a fairly young doctor with the values and caring for his patients of the old fashioned doctors. He even gives you his cell phone number in case you need to contact him after business hours. . . .where else do you see a doctor like that?:bigbow:
