CHICAGO ILLINOIS mid 1960 trivia question
 

Hello Chicago Villagers, I am wondering if someone can help me out here who may have been in Chicago in the mid 1960's.
I am trying to find out about a club that used to be called the "Boom Boom Room"
What type of place was this? seedy, by the sounds of it???
Later in the latter part of the 60's it was changed to "The Latin Quarters"
any help greatly appreciated..

It was a polysexual nightclub. Had live music for awhile, then went disco.
Don't recall exactly where it was, I think on the edge of Lincoln Park.
There is now a boom boom room on Sunday nights at a newly revamped place called Dolphin on Ashland Ave.

It has a new name now. The Green Dolphin Street and it's on Ashland. Very open nightclub life there! The Boom Boom Room from the 60's was about as hippie psychedelic as you can picture.
