Cash for coins with no fee
I had accumulated a bunch of coins and wanted to convert them to cash. Citizens wouldn't do it unless they were rolled. Bank of America had a cumbersome process where they sent coins off and credited back on your account. The coin counting machines in the stores all charge 8-10% fee for immediate cash back.
But, the machines in Winn-Dixie will let you trade in your coins for face value gift cards to various businesses, restaurants, and online merchants. I chose an Amazon gift card and just used it online with no problem. A thrifty alternative to paying those "cash-in" fees. |
Good information - thank you for sharing.

I too have a bunch of coins that I want to cash in. Thanks for the info. I'll give Winn Dixie a try. Does it work on gas cards?

Didn't appear to work for gas.
Here's the link to their partners... https://www.coinstar.com/FreeCoinCounting |
I have used it to "buy" Itunes cards

Thanks, great information. My old bank just let us bring in the coins, they counted and gave us the money. Another bank service gone I guess.

Thanks for the great information! I like that you can type in your zip code for locations. Honeyboy has jars & jars of coins in Utah, and this will be a big help to him.
Thanks! :$: |
